入夜後，已慢慢漲潮。浪翻著白，前仆後繼地一陣陣撲上層層堆疊、駐守堤防的消波塊。南風吹落傾倒一地的葉影，也吹散海潮的微微腥鹹。從島東的鬧區山外沿市港路直行，位於十字路口，船錨造型的水泥高柱，就是進入新湖漁港的醒目標的，這是金門最大的漁港。Ｃ說，漁人配合潮汐，經常是夜半出航，直至日出返港。

夜空裡，星宿如局排列，銀河是長串碎鑽，鑲成一條發光腰帶。路燈一盞盞綻著暈黃的光，把人影也拉得老長。路樹向光的那側，葉緣翻黃；背光的那面，是濃淡深淺不一的黑。點點漁火浮散闃黑海面。停駐外海，數艘等待泊岸的渡輪，與星子相映，在暗裡悠悠擺渡時光。慈鑾宮前、海堤基處的高地，矗立著六公尺高的媽祖聖像，肅穆地慈瞰著南疆。近處的釣客，拋下長長釣竿，以長長的夜，與靜定的耐心，賭一尾鱸魚、黑鯛，或石斑。不用Ｃ說，我也發現了，身後的媽祖聖像同岬角盡頭的燈塔一樣，以信仰的光、以暗裡的亮，守護著漁人與船隻，同時指引著歸來的方向。(中國時報)，
