新竹特殊教育學校2日舉辦創校4年以來首次針對高中學生的夏令營，由社區、公益團體募款，志工協辦活動，帶領學生到綠世界參觀，同時並安排多項社團活動，同學們體驗蝶谷巴特、馬賽克拼貼藝術，開心度過暑期第一周。戶外郊遊、蝶谷巴特、馬賽克拼貼等課程，在一般的學校只是普通的日常活動，但對新竹特殊教育學校的高中學齡學生來說，卻可能是首次的奇特體驗，這些特殊學生昨天在接觸這些活動時，都開心的驚呼連連。

新竹特殊教育學校祕書趙蕙慈表示，一般學校戶外教學、體育活動，只是日常生活中的一環，但對特殊學校卻是非常難得，今年的夏令營，在社區人士奔走募款，台積電、新竹市改革宗民族路教會等團體出錢、出人、出力下，終於讓夏令營成功舉辦。校方表示，心智障礙學生較為缺乏規畫生活及自主管理的能力，暑假雖是普通學生的假期，但對於特殊生來說，卻可能是家長的負擔，今年因而規畫夏令營活動，讓學生在暑期也能在校接受趣味式的教學課程。100多位學生昨天在大學生志工陪伴下，前往北埔綠世界與動物互動，之後在大哥哥、大姊姊的指導下，體驗蝶谷巴特、馬賽克拼貼等課程，現場歡笑連連。(中國時報)，

    　勞工部周四在政府宣布重新上班後就敲定由其負責發布的經濟指標公布時程，

，其中原定10月4日公布的9月份就業市場報告將於下周二補發布，9月PPI於10月29日出爐，9月CPI於10月30日揭曉。
    　負責國內生產毛額（GDP）與零售額等資料統計的商務部透過發言人表示，該部門會盡快敲定其公布指標的行事曆。
    　勞工部指出，10月份就業市場報告公布日期確定延後，由原定的11月1日延至11月8日。
    　經濟指標延後發布會造成金融市場的不便，但也有一個好處，尤其是零售額與就業市場報告，因為這些統計調查通常都有受訪者未能準時回覆問卷的情況，延後發布反而讓數據更為準確。
    　法巴銀行駐紐約美國經濟學家羅斯納（Laura Rosner）表示：「延後發布的經濟指標或許數據品質更好。」她舉例，1995到1996年政府關門期間，零售額因包含晚交問卷的零售業者資料，所以統計更準確。
    　勞工部的統計單位─勞工部統計局前專員郝爾（Keith Hall）證實有此一情況，他指出，勞工部統計局調查的非農業就業人口報告，準時回覆問卷的企業僅約7成。
    　不過，政府關門期間的一些統計資料無法獲取，也導致一些延後發布的調查結果準確度大打折扣。以CPI報告為例，勞工部統計局傷腦筋的是10月上半月資料一片空白。克里夫蘭聯邦準備銀行經濟學家已警告，政府關門對CPI報告準確度的影響恐持續到明年5月。，

台中：台鐵餐旅服務總所台中餐廳李姓餐務班長，趁台中餐廳無專責倉管人員，由他自行填寫採購單、自行驗收，與洪姓廠商勾結，每次送貨時短送冷凍排肉，從中獲利80萬元，並偽造收據核銷遭汙損的便當盒。台中地院依詐欺取財罪等判他8月徒刑，可易科罰金。(中國時報)
